SONA MASOORI RICE
Grown in the southern regions of India, Sona Masoori is an integral part of the South Indian cuisine. Royal® Sona Masoori is an aromatic and lightweight medium-grained rice known as the “Pearls of South India”. With its delicate flavor, it is the perfect choice for pongal, coconut rice, steamed rice or as a complement to South Indian Curries.

Cooking Instructions

In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups (500ml) of water to a boil.

Add 1 cup (250ml) of Royal® Sona Masoori Rice. Cover the pot with a fitted lid and lower heat to bring water to a simmer.

Cook the rice for 15 minutes, or until water is absorbed. Once cooked, fluff the rice with a fork and serve while still hot.

Use ratio 1 cup (250ml) of rice to 2 cups (500ml) water. See rice cooker manual for specific operation.
