ORGANIC SONA MASOORI RICE
The state of Andrah Pradesh, known as the “Rice Bowl of India”, produces one of South India’s most prized rice varieties – Royal® Organic Sona Masoori. A limited export item grown under the strictest organic guidelines, this short-grained rice contains no additives, pesticides or preservatives. It is highly aromatic, light in texture and very versatile. Wonderfully suited for pongal or as a complement to stews, it is equally delicious in dessert dishes like sweet rice puddings.

Cooking Instructions

In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups (500ml) of water to a boil.

Add 1 cup (250ml) of Royal® Sona Masoori Rice. Cover the pot with a fitted lid and lower heat to bring water to a simmer.

Cook the rice for 15 minutes, or until water is absorbed. Once cooked, fluff the rice with a fork and serve while still hot.
