Thandai Masala

Ingredients
1/2 Cup Royal® Chef’s Secret Basmati Rice
1 liter (34 oz) whole milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup thandai masala
2/3 cup powdered sugar
Chopped cashews, pistachios, rose petals
Preparation
- Thoroughly wash 1/2 cup Royal® Chef’s Secret Basmati Rice 3-4 times with water. Soak in water for 30 mins.
- Add 1 liter (34 oz) whole milk and 1/2 cup heavy cream to a pan. Heat on high heat, stir occasionally to ensure it doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pan. Bring it to a boil.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add 1/4 cup thandai masala, soaked rice without the water. Cook for 25-30 mins until milk is reduced and rice is cooked. Add more milk to adjust consistency if needed.
- Add 2/3 cup powdered sugar. Add more if needed as per your liking. Mix well and remove from heat.
- Serve hot or cold. Garnish with chopped cashews, pistachios, rose petals and enjoy
