Ingredients

For the Garlic Sesame Basmati Rice

2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil

4 cloves of garlic minced

1 cup uncooked Royal® Basmati Rice

1 1/2 cups chicken broth

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoons of toasted sesame seeds for garnish

1-2 tablespoons parsley, chopped

For the Oven Roasted Salmon

2 medium salmon fillets, about 6 oz each

1 tablespoon mayonnaise

1 teaspoon mustard

1/2 tablespoon soy sauce

1 clove of minced garlic

1/2 tablespoon sesame oil

Toasted sesame seeds for garnish

Preparation

For the Garlic Sesame Basmati Rice
  1. Soak rice according to package directions and drain.
  2. Sauté garlic in oil for 1 minute.
  3. Add chicken broth and rice.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Bring to a boil and cover, cook on low for 15 minutes.
  6. Fluff with a fork and stir in sesame seeds and chopped parsley.
For the Oven Roasted Salmon
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
  3. Create marinade by mixing mayonnaise, mustard, soy sauce, garlic and sesame oil in a bowl.
  4. Place salmon on baking sheet, pour marinade over salmon filets and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
  6. Serve with sesame garlic rice.
