Saffron & Date Rice Pudding

Ingredients
3 tbsp Date paste
33 oz Milk
1/4 cup Royal® basmati rice (crushed or coarsely powdered)
Saffron strands (soaked overnight in milk)
Nuts of your choice (e.g., almonds, pistachios)
1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
Rose petals for garnish
Preparation
- In a pan, bring milk, cardamom powder, and soaked saffron to a boil.
- Once done, add the date paste and crushed basmati rice. Simmer on low for around 20 mins or until the rice is completely cooked.
- Adjust the consistency by adding milk, keeping in mind that it thickens as it cools.
- Top with your favorite nuts and refrigerate.
- Garnish with rose petals before serving. Enjoy!
