Masala Rice Cutlets

These savory cutlets are just what you need for a dinner time treat for your family. They’re a great way to use up leftover rice, too!

Authentic Basmati Rice

Ingredients

2 cups Royal® Basmati Rice

2 large onions, chopped

4 tablespoons cilantro

1 carrot, grated

1 beet root, grated

1 potato, boiled and peeled

3 teaspoons Royal® Besan

4 slices of bread, soaked

2 teaspoon ghee

1 green chili

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt to taste

1/2 teaspoon garam masala

4 teaspoons tomato puree

2 teaspoons all purpose flour

Preparation

  1. Mix all ingredients well to make a firm dough.
  2. Divide mix into equal portions and form flat cutlets.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and cook the cutlets a few at a time, till golden brown on both sides.
  4. Serve with Ketchup or your choice of dip.
