Ingredients

Biryani Kit: 

  • Hyderabadi Biryani Kit 
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced 
  • Shishito peppers, 1 cup

Fried Chicken: 

  • Chicken wings, 2 lbs
  • Biryani paste, 1 packet

Dry Batter: 

  • All-purpose flour, 1 cup
  • Corn starch, 1/2 cup

Garnish: 

  • Sea salt 
  • Cilantro, chopped 
  • Thai chili pepper, finely chopped 
  • Kashmiri chili powder 

Preparation

Biryani: 

  1. Follow the directions on the Royal Biryani Kit.  
  2. Caramelize the onion and add shishito peppers, if desired, before adding biryani paste.

Fried Chicken: 

  1. Marinate the chicken wings for 1 hour with the biryani paste. 
  2. Dredge and coat the chicken in the dry batter and let it sit and rest for 10 mins before frying in 350F oil until golden brown. 
  3. Let the chicken rest on a wire rack once done and sprinkle salt and Kashmiri chili powder.
